Amputating the word "social" from "conservatism", I suggest, will go a long way toward rehabilitating the disgraced GOP brand. America isn't a Luddite theocracy, and her citizens will no longer tolerate self-important Bibleist mullahs like Dobson telling them what they can and cannot do. Conservatism isn't necessarily a loser, but legislating morality most certainly is.
